MELISSA DONNE

Melissa Donne is an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Southampton, UK. She designs joyful artwork underpinned by her love of colour.

She studied fashion design at University and followed this with a Master of Arts in film theory.

She is a licensed artist and her designs can be found on a variety of products from phone cases and tech accessories, to a needlepoint kit, umbrella, greetings cards and wallpapers. She has worked with brands including Casetify, Passion Planner, Otto Studio and So Typical Me.

She is inspired by all things floral and botanical, as well as food and nature illustration. She likes to take everyday themes and give them an abstract spin, so as to add something unique and dis-tinctive. She often choose bold and clashing colour palettes to obtain a bold outcome and make a strong statement.

Her overarching aim with her work is to spread joy and elicit an positive emotional response. Her bright colours and playful artworks are designed to brighten the home and whatever setting they find themselves in.
